Frisk didn't know what kind of kanji his name should be written in, so he only knew the pronunciation of his name but not his real name. After he fell into the "other side" (underground), Toriel took the first pronunciation "ふfu" and gave him the nickname "降(which means “drop”)" because he fell from the top to the bottom of the earth. Therefore, in this AU, Frisk can also be called "降(fu）".
